Plein Air, with some studio touch ups.
10" x 8"
12" x 9"
10" x 8"
I really enjoyed working on this scene, and was happy enough with the way it came out that I considered making a much larger version of it. I still may at some point.
24" x 18"
This was maybe the first time that I worked on a plein air piece in the studio for a significant amount of time, without any reference. The piece was a study in color relationships. The hues had gone far enough astray from the actual scene that it became more about what I wanted the colors to be, rather than what I saw.
10" x 8"
12" x 9"
This was the first time I had done plein air for a long time - it shows. But, it was still fun to do it again.
Paint Sketches
Soap - 8" x 10"
12" x 16"
A pig-fly, or fly-pig. 16" x 12". Made this after watching this video on Clive Barker and his painting studio, very inspiring.
